September 15 - 16 -- Artsfest.  Annmarie Garden in Solomons Maryland. Recognized as Southern Maryland's finest outdoor arts festival.  More info.

September 24 -- The Calvert County Waterman's Festival.  Noon to 5PM. Held at the Watermen's Wharf in Solomons.  Work boat and charter boat docking contests, cream of crab soup cook-off, and other great activities.

October 6 - 7 -- Patuxent River Appreciation Days.  Celebrating Maryland's largest intrastate river; free boat rides, music, activities, and more.  Calvert Marine Museum.  More info.

December 7-8 -- Solomons Christmas Walk.  Stroll Solomons' candlelit streets, browse in unique shops. 8th: 6-9pm. 9th: 10am-9pm.  Enjoy art, music, entertainment, puppet show and boat light parade.  More info.

December 7 - January 1 -- Garden in Lights at Annmarie Garden.  6 PM - 9 PM Nightly - weather permitting. A whimsical drive-through holiday light display filled with light sculptures custom-created by the staff at Annmarie Garden. Play the "Holiday I Spy" game along the way. Closed December 24th. Suggested donation: $5 per car.
