Captain Lee Tippett grew up fishing the waters of the Patuxent river, first as recreation with his family and then commercially for oysters, crabs and fish. In his early teens, he moved to the Potomac River area where he continued his pursue his passion for working on the water aboard the crabbing boat “Betsy Lynn”. Lee moved on to tournament fishing for Rockfish in 2006. He has had considerable success fishing these Rockfish tournaments and has won or placed in most of the tournaments he has entered. Lee worked as a first mate aboard several of the top charter boats fishing out of Solomons, including “Rod Bender”, “Never-E-Nuff”, “Miss Susie” and most recently FIN FINDER. With a lifetime of fishing experience and 3 full years of working as a first mate, Lee Tippett is now your full time captain aboard FIN FINDER II.
